State Payroll Tax Workshop

This State Payroll Tax Workshop is conducted by presenters from the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD). The workshop is designed to benefit established business owners, individuals anticipating going into business, and accounting agents. This workshop would benefit those seeking hands-on experience in calculating taxes and completing employee tax forms.  As an employer, it is to your advantage to know your obligations and understand the state reporting requirements, because complying with the employment tax laws will help you avoid problems and penalties.

This workshop is also for anyone who has attended a previous Federal/State or Basic State Payroll Tax Seminar and those familiar with state tax reporting, who would like additional practice.

• California reporting requirements, including forms, employer obligations, and payment requirements
• Independent contractor reporting requirements
• Electronic filing and options
