The PACE Procurement Services Center offers certification training for small business owners who seek to secure supplier contract awards with the government and private sector entities. The main purpose of this certification training program is to promote contract opportunities for disadvantaged, minority, women, veteran, small and local business owners.

Certification categories includes, SAM Registration, 8(a), HubZone, Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women Business Enterprises (WBE), Disabled Veteran and Small Local Business Enterprises (SLBE).

Small business workshop attendees will be educated about the various certification agencies and what contract opportunities are available under each type of certification. Including, Federal, State, Utilities and Private Sector supplier contract opportunities.

About the Speaker:

Having worked as a Procurement Consultant with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Program and as a private business owner at the J&K Group, Karla has over 10 years’ experience in assisting small businesses to become certified and secure government contracts. Fluent in English and Spanish, Ms. Gonzalez has assisted over 200 firms obtain certifications with the numerous contracting agencies and has conducted countless workshops and one-on-one counseling sessions with individual businesses. She brings a high level of technical assistance and procurement expertise to the table and is an expert in helping business owners to secure certifications.  Including, 8(a), HubZone, WBE, DBE, MBE, DVBE, SBE, VOBE & SAM Registration.
