PACE MicroTeam
In addition of our own team of BDC consultants, we also have recruited a pool of talented and knowledgeable business experts that can meet with you to help you with a variety of business issues. After meetings with our business consultants, clients with more advanced concerns and specific needs can be referred to our MicroTeam to be matched with a member (or members) of the MicroTeam to receive technical assistance in the area of need.

MicroMentor
PACE BDC is an affiliate member of the MicroMentor program. MicroMentor is a free online service that connects small business owners with business mentors. MicroMentor puts experience to work by offering business professionals meaningful volunteer opportunities and by offering entrepreneurs one-on-one advice to help build successful businesses. MicroMentor's mission is to help small businesses grow faster, generate more revenue, and employ more people. The program makes it easy to be a mentor, find a mentor, and build a business.

Small Business Legal Clinics
PACE BDC, in partnership with Public Counsel Legal Center, offers FREE small business legal clinics where attendees are able to meet one-on-one for up to one hour with an attorney to discuss specific questions and legal issues related to the creation and running of a small business, including the following topics: (i) choice of entity, (ii) contracts, and (iii) intellectual property. Advanced registration is required for the legal clinics so please click here to complete and send in a registration form. Small Business Tax Preparation Service
PACE BDC offers recordkeeping services for business owners who need put their receipts and invoices in order for the current year’s tax season. We help you get your business records “out of the shoebox” and organized into the appropriate tax categories for easier (and less costly) federal tax filing. Furthermore, we will prepare end of year financial statements, train you on business bookkeeping, and help you develop a comprehensive strategy to minimize your taxes.
For business owners who qualify, PACE also offers free tax preparation as a part of our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services. PACE’s VITA site operates from February 1 – April 14 and is available by appointment only. For more information and to find out if you qualify please contact us at 213-353-4000.
We also offer a Small Business Tax workshop where business owners can come to get an overview of federal tax rules and requirements related to operating a small business. The focus is on understanding what is legally required while also learning how to minimize tax obligations.
